Tomorrow, I fly to NYC for three months, which of course means that I won't be selling vegan baked goods for quite a while. I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has bought from me so far!

I'll be back around mid-November, and hopefully with lots of new ideas!

As I've only just got back from Edinburgh, I'm extending the Tvinkies deadline to 10pm tonight just in case anyone wanted to ask me any questions before placing an order :) Thank you to everyone who's already ordered!

A little reminder about the Tvinkies pre-order, now with photos!



Whether you're vegan or not, real Twinkies are almost impossible to come by in the UK, and as an "all-American" treat, I think they're a good way to sign off for the next three months. They are priced at £6.50 for 4, or £10.50 for 8, which includes postage, packaging and Paypal fees, and to give an idea of size, they require a little more cake mix than my standard size (ie: larger, American-style) cupcakes. Unfortunately I don't have a photo to show the insides as these got eaten up too quickly, but they are filled with a light and fluffy vanilla frosting, just like "real" Twinkies!

As it's coming up for the 4th July, aka American Independence Day, I figure the next batch of vegan baked goods should be American-themed (which also coincides nicely with my need for funds for my NYC trip in 42 days and 5 hours!!). To me, American (vegan) food generally equates to a hefty dose of delicious peanut butter. Originally, I had wanted to create Peanut Butter & Jelly cupcakes, but unfortunately I'm yet to think of a way to transport all of the components without the cupcake turning soggy. Not to worry though, because I have an old faithful as a back up plan: an adaptation of Isa Chandra Moskowitz's Peanut Butter Pillows!



I am absolutely addicted to these things, so I think it's about time that I sold them on here. Owing to costs, this time around, I will only be selling the cookies in batches of 6 or 12 (or more in multiples of six if you like - please contact me if you're interested in more). They are fairly heavy to post, and so will be priced at £8.50 for 6 cookies, or £14.50 for 12 cookies, and as before, they will be sent by First Class post. Everyone who ordered over the past couple of days should hopefully receive their cupcakes today, so here is another page to be used for feedback. So, same as last time, I'd really appreciate your opinions input as to what you thought of your goodies. Tell me anything; post photos of you posing with them, tell me what you thought of the packaging and presentation, what state did they turn up in, had the cake gone soggy from being filled with frosting, any issues or suggestions for changes, would you consider buying them again, and most of all, how do they taste? How did they compare to other vegan cakes you may have had, or to your preconceptions about what vegan food tastes like? Do you think they're priced reasonably? I'm open to suggestions, please be honest! :)

Some of you may have read from my posts on TSUK that as of August 13th, I'm heading back to NYC for three months. I'm unemployed and utterly skint, so I've decided that until I find a temporary job, baking will have to get me by!

I am selling the following vegan cupcakes in multiples of two:



Chocolate cupcake, thick chocolate fudgey frosting (pictured above),
Vanilla cupcake, thick chocolate fudgey frosting (same frosting, different base)

Pricing:
2 cupcakes = £4 via personal payment, includes first class postage and packaging.




I will also be taking personalised orders for batches of 6 or 12 cupcakes. A "batch" means all of the cupcakes in your order must be the same; I'm sorry but I'm only doing this on a very small scale out of my kitchen, and it would cost me too much to do "variety boxes"! However, if for example, you wish to swap half of your batch with half of someone else's, and you organise this yourselves in the comments below, I will be happy to mix and match your batches so long as it is a direct swap and the order is made and paid for at the same time.
